Mobility & connected applications

Fahra

Built · pilot enquiries open

Mobility operators need to coordinate ride requests, drivers and the operating team in one system.

A mobility platform with rider and driver application flows, dispatch, trip management and an operator console.

  • Rider and driver mobile workflows
  • Dispatch and ride tracking
  • Fare, payment and operator workflows

What this brings to your project

Experience building connected mobile and web applications around time-sensitive operations and shared backend workflows.

A public site or working application does not establish customer adoption. No customer numbers or commercial results are claimed.

Why Grundlabs

We think beyond the build.

Owning products means working through the decisions that remain after a demo: who can do what, how money moves, what happens when a service fails, and how the system is handed over.

01

Product experience you can use

Get practical input on scope and everyday usability. HermesLodge connects search, availability and the booking journey; Fahra connects the rider, driver and operator.

02

Applications and operations together

Deployment and monitoring are considered alongside development. K8Cost and LayerOne demonstrate our experience with infrastructure-facing software.

03

Web, mobile and backend connected

Keep experiences consistent across devices. Fahra’s mobile application, operational console and backend are developed as one connected platform.

04

Complex workflows, made usable

We work with bookings, payments, roles, subscriptions and integrations. EventStuffer’s marketplace and Paya’s invoicing flows provide concrete examples.

05

Clear ownership and a usable handover

Our published terms transfer custom work after full payment. Third-party licences and pre-existing components retain their terms. Documentation, accounts and infrastructure access are specified in the proposal.

06

Direct engineering communication

Grundlabs is operated by Hakob Chobanyan in Schwerte, Germany. The proposal names your engineering lead and review cadence, so decisions and progress have a clear owner.

07

Performance with context

We choose architecture and deployment regions around your workload and intended users. Booking responsiveness, dashboard speed and real-time behaviour are tested in that context.

08

A simpler first year

Eligible builds include 12 months of managed hosting and business email setup within agreed limits. One point of contact can prepare the application, deployment and launch arrangements.

09

Experience relevant to Europe

Our products include payment integrations, access controls and exportable records. For US businesses entering Europe, we scope local integrations and data handling with your business and legal advisers.

From application to operation

Your application, hosting and business email. One point of contact.

12 months of managed hosting included for eligible development projects, within agreed resource limits. Business email setup is included within the agreed first-year package.

12months within agreed limits

Hosting close to your users

We select the provider, region and architecture for the workload. European or US-region deployment can be scoped where the provider and project support it. Monitoring, maintenance and backup arrangements are defined before launch.

Email on your own domain

An agreed number of employee mailboxes, storage, aliases and shared addresses where supported. Setup covers MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, secure access and MFA where available, using a managed provider agreed in the proposal.

Defined before you commit

The proposal defines eligibility, the start of the 12 months, environments, compute, storage, traffic, mailbox limits, support hours, response terms, backups and restores, extra usage, renewal pricing and handover. Application maintenance and new features are separate from hosting operations.

GPU compute, intensive AI inference, large-scale video and unusually high traffic are quoted separately. External APIs, SMS, payment fees, transactional email allowances and paid email licences are itemised separately unless expressly included.

Your domain stays yours. Client access, data exports, migration and any provider or licensing dependencies are documented. Email migration is scoped separately where needed.

Included services and limits are confirmed in your proposal; hosting and email terms must be agreed before service starts.

How we work

A clear path from your brief to a working product.

Custom builds are quoted for the agreed scope. No preset project price and no compulsory discovery package for a small, well-defined brief.

  1. 01

    Start with a fit conversation

Tell us what needs to change, who will use it and which systems are involved. We discuss the goals, constraints and fit.

  2. 02

    Scope what needs exploring

Where requirements are uncertain, agree a separate discovery scope. A prototype or technical proof of concept is included only if explicitly agreed—not an automatic MVP.

  3. 03

    Agree a concrete proposal

Deliverables, assumptions, acceptance criteria, timeline, responsibilities and payment milestones are written down. Hosting and email inclusions are itemised.

  4. 04

    Build with regular reviews

Review working software and progress at the agreed cadence. Scope changes are documented with their effect on cost and timing before work proceeds.

  5. 05

    Launch, hand over and support

Agree deployment, documentation, code and account access. Support scope and hours are defined; ongoing hosting, provider charges and further development are identified separately.

How we work

Before we talk

Useful answers, without the sales script.

What kind of project is a good fit?

A business platform, booking or service marketplace, connected web and mobile application, or SaaS product with meaningful workflows and integrations. We also work with software and design agencies on a defined engineering scope.

How much does a custom build cost?

We quote after understanding the scope, integrations, operating requirements and delivery responsibilities. The proposal sets deliverables and payment milestones. There are no published build prices.

Do we need discovery first?

Only where it will resolve uncertainty. A clear, bounded project can move straight to a proposal. Discovery is scoped separately; it does not automatically include an MVP.

What does the first year of hosting include?

Eligible projects can include 12 months of managed hosting and business email setup within proposal-defined limits. Resources, provider, region, support, backups, mailbox allowances, start date and renewal costs must be agreed. Third-party and extra usage charges are identified separately.

Can you work with US businesses and agencies?

Yes, enquiries from US businesses and agencies are welcome. Grundlabs is operated from Schwerte, Germany. We agree communication times and working-hour overlap for the project. Deployment close to US users can be scoped where supported; we do not advertise a US office or round-the-clock service.

Will we own the code and be able to move hosting?

The published terms transfer custom work after full payment, with third-party and pre-existing components retaining their licence conditions. The proposal specifies documentation, account and infrastructure access, export and migration arrangements and any dependencies.

Are the featured products customer projects?

No. They are our own products. Their current status is stated individually; working software and public product pages are not presented as evidence of market adoption.

Start with the problem you want to solve

What should your software make possible?

A short brief is enough to start. Tell us about your users, the workflow and what a useful first release would change.
